I've heard a lot of rumors that a 20R head con be mounted n a 22RE motor.
Is this really true?  If it is can someone tell me what mods i need to do to get it to mount up.  Or if anyone knows of a place where i can get some literature on how to do this.

Thanks
Jimbo Grande

You won't be able to get the intake manifold to fit without major modification.  You would be losing compression 52/54cc 22RE vs 80/81cc 20R.  the valves are smaller on the 20R also intake 43 vs 44.5mm exhaust  35mm vs 36.5mm on the 22RE.  The heads do bolt up to the block though.  It is just too much work to be practical but it can be done.  I just wouldn't waste my time to do something that would hinder performance gains.  Good luck if you decide to take on this task you'll need it.

I forgot that you will have to do some milling on the intake ports to match them to the intake manifold.  Unless you want to give up the fuel injection and just use the intake manifold from a 20R with a carb.  but you will still have some shaving and cutting on the intake manifold.
