Can someone recommend a good torque wrench?   I need one, and I know that you usually get what you pay for, but I really don't have the money to go high-end on this.

I'm trying to decide between Craftsman, Kobalt, and Husky.   I'm sure Snap-On wrenches are really nice, but I've never priced one.     Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've had trouble with the Craftsman line torque wrenches. I got a free replacement on my first one, and the second one acts up sometimes too. It goes past the rated torque sometimes without the clicker going off. First one did the same thing but more often.  Snap On's the best, but you better be sitting down when you price one!

Cobalt tools used to be part of Snap On. I have some of their tools and have not had a problem with them. They seem as good as Craftsman for quality overall. Husky tools is Craftsman sold under another name - for Home Depot as one outlet. Cobalt is sold by Loew's hardware stores in Florida, but not very actively. You cant buy what you don't see on the shelf there. You can't order them either from what I was told by their customer service dept, or on-line source.
