I am in the proccess of puttind 86 f250 hd 4x4 front end under a 2wd 86f250 frame and body. the donor truck had a 351w and automatic. the recieving truck has an 300-6cyl and a 4spd.
The 4x4 frontend is bolted in but i am having issues with matching the 4spd manual to my 208 from the automatic truck. none of the wreckers seem to have the right cone. The stock full floater 60 is in the rear of both trucks.
Is there some issues here that I dont know about?
output shaft differences on 2wd trans?
any help would be apprecitated....so close to done....yet...so far

I have the out put shaft figured out, I had luckly picked up a 4sp a few years ago, free, turns out it is the exact same case that was in my new truck but it had the 4x4 out put shaft. The adapter was hard to find, but now is in my possesion.
One more question for the masses. Is there much drive shaft length difference, with the new setup. I measure about an inch difference, any one know for sure. I will know tommorow and let u all know.
