I have heard several things that people can make the ford wishbone Ibeam suspension work and i was wondering if any actually knows?

I have recently purchased a 1989 ford f-150 with TTB suspension, i have been researching lift kits for it, from what i have seen the biggest lif tu can go is 6" with out too many problems, any thing more and there will be many problems with tire alignment.
