I want to do a disc brake conversion and am interested in the chevy/ford conversion. However, different people say slightly different things as to what chevy parts (calipers, caliper hold down plate, and spindles) will work. some say 1972 through 1977 1/2 ton chevy or GMC with a Dana 44 will work; others say it must be 1973 through 1976. Does anyone reading this KNOW? Also, I wonder if parts from D-44s in other rigs (Scouts, Jeeps, Dodges, Chevys and Fords) will work as well. Appreciate anything you can tell me to help me find the right parts.

What axle do you exactly have in your Bronco? That would be the best thing to know before starting to look for brakes.

It has the original, Dana 30. I know there is some controversy about what will work on the D30 as opposed to the D44, but several people have stated that they've successfully done the Chevy/ford conversion with the D30. Thanks for your response.
