I would like to put 33's on my '03 4X4 F-150. What is the best way to lift it about 3" (not a body lift) without spending $1500? Also will my 4.6 need any mods to run 33's? It has 275/70R17's on now which I figure are about 31".

Here is a rough country 4 to 5inch lift for $1,390 http://www.roughcountry.com/ford_4wd_97-03_f150.asp that will fit up to a 35x12.50 tire with no tirming of the finders or body. as for your engine there is an option on that paged for a Hypertech Power Programmer for $399.00 bringing your total to $1,789.00 plus s&h. this kind will not fit short bed standard cabs though.
