Yea they do look funny i agree but they do help off road not in the sense of function but in being able to install bigger tire's that does realy help off road .

Suspension lift - all the way! Cut the fenders if you need the clearance for bigger meats . Body lifts are BS and don't do a damn thing for you.

I would cut the fender's if it was a older truck. but he's got a 2003 truck don't thank he wants to cut the fenders up and why do we lift our trucks anyway?
we lift them to get bigger tire's for offroading right . so a body lift does the same thang. if the suspension lift don't allow say 33's a 3" body lift with it will allow maybe 35's see where the body lift helps. i agree that they look like #### but when you can't afford a bigger suspension lift and want bigger tires a body lift is the next best thang. and besides the bigger the suspension lift the more the geometry in the front is off . creating alignment promblems and drive shaft issues. and having to rotate the axles and lowering the transfer case to align up . and maybe having to lengthen the driveshafts so they each have their drawbacks . just my opinion you know what they say about them.
