Any one tried to crank the torsion bars on a 97-03 ford 150? Whats the ride like? Difficulty putting it in? I'm looking at a set of torsion keyways from TSLiftkits. Its the only leveling kit I could find my truck.

It's not really a good idea to crank your torsion bars up. The ride of the truck would be very stiff and you will have less down travel on the suspension. If you have 4wd there would be more of an angle on the CV shafts which could result in breakage.
If you do decide to crank them up, just do maybe a 1/2 inch or so. It will also throw your alignment off to.
New keys would only make things worse.

Thanks for the input Ranger. Can you think of any other way to level out my truck. I figure I might try the keyways, there only sixty bucks. And it won't be the first sixty I have blown. I'd like to buy a 4inch lift kit but can't afford it at this point in time. Thanks again

Reindexed keys only let you crank further. Definately not a good idea.
I have torsion bars on my truck too. I definately don't like them. Too much stuff having down to get caught on when your out wheeling and to me they offer a rough ride.
I wish my truck sat level in the front, but the only (cheap) thing that you can do is crank the torsion bars up. I wouldn't go any further than a 1/2" to 1". Just my opinion.

I did some measuring and from the driver to passenger side there was about a 1/2in difference. So I corrected that and cranked a little more on each side. Now theres about a 1/2in from front to back. So it sit some what level. Ride did change as you said and now pulls to the right. It even looks the tires are kind of tilted in a V shape, So most likely make the front will wear on the outsides. Will try it for a while and see.
