Does anyone else have problems with people that buy or that have there parents buy them a fairly nice truck (mostly stupid HS kids) i love about an hour and half south of chicago. around here alot of people have older trucks lifted with fairly big motors and just about everything you could add to it and they never ever take it off the road at all. I used to have a 2wd dodge that saw more mud then any of there trucks ever did. Now i have an 88 ford ranger stx 4x4 thats completely stock and still sees more mud then everyone for example someone i know bought an 84 gmc put new heads and headers on the motor it was lifted 6 inches with 35 inch mickey thompson baja claws and he wont take it off the road i was just wondering if theres alot of people out there like that or if its just something weird around here
Thanks
Jeff

There's fools a plenty here in Florida too! You don't have that market cornered in Chicago by any stretch. "all show and no go" is what they call that in my neck 'o the woods.
I've seen some hellatious 4X4 beasts at car shows that I would just be itching to throw in da mud!, but the owners have chromed and polished the axles, driveshafts, shocks, etc....basically chromed, ceramic coated, and powder coated everything under the truck, and would have a complete meltdown if you got a speck of mud on their ride! - All bling and no nads!
Baja Claws or TSL Boggers for the street ?
Whass wrong with da boy ???

I live in Pennsylvania and there are a lot of people around here who are like that. They have nice rides that never hardly see a mud puddle. But i guess its mostly because they paid so much for it they don't want it messed up. My Dad bought my first truck when i was 10 it was an old farm use truck. It was beat up five different colors had no exhaust a busted window and four different rims. A hole in the passenger floor you could crawl through and a whole bunch more problems. I got it fixed up to where it could be on the road half way through high school. I was made fun of by the preps for the spray paint and made fun of by the rednecks cause my Dad bought it for me. But yeah i do hate those stupid hs kids that get fancy new trucks and cars. What i can't stand the most are those low riders they are every where here.

My brother in-law is one of those kind of people that has a lift kit, big tires, but won't take it off road. If he gets a little tiny bit of dirt on it, it has to be pretty much washed immediately. I can't see spending large amounts of money on a lift and big tires if your not going to go trail riding.
All show and no go, what's the point?
I did some wheeling last weekend and the mud is still all over my truck. I am going to go wheeling again this weekend and it might not get washed for another week or two.

Yeah I don't see any point in buying a lift and stuff and not useing it either. But when i do off road I usually wash it right after or the next day. I took auto body in highschool and worked in a body shop for a while. It's not my favorite thing to do so i try to keep the rust down on my rig.

Normally, the next day or two I usually go to the car wash and use the high pressure sprayer to blow the mud off of it or if it is supposed to rain, which it is doing right now as I type this, I drive in it for a little bit to get the mud off of it.
But I'm not always (normal).
Today it is raining and I just took a ride to Midway Liquors to buy some beer and stopped by the Royal Farm store to pick up something to eat and while I'm in the process of doing this, I drive through all the water puddles that I can find to help wash the mud away. It works pretty well in removing most of the mud.

It's raining here to. Yeah i have to admit I don't wash it regularly but i try. I like to take my trucks out in the mud to. There is a dump in the back of the park i work at its where we dump the dirt. Its really muddy when it rains i like to take my trucks there at lunch. Well i did when i was working anyway. My ford will go where the equipment won't. The chevy doesn't go as good as the ford but it doesn't have the tires and lift and extra horse power the ford does. Plus I have never pushed the chevy like I do the ford.

I noticed in a previus post that you said that you lived in PA. If you don't mind telling where you live, what part of PA. do you live in?
I live in MD. right at the Balto. / Harford Co. line.

You must be much younger than I am.
This is a song that was writen back in the late 70's or 80's, but I can't remember when.
It's a pretty cool song if your into rock & roll music.
I love my music, I can't live with out it.
I've been indoors all day other than my trip to the store and my stereo has been on since about 12:30 Friday afternoon and its now 2:50 a.m. on a Saturday morning.

I love rock-n-roll music from the 60's and up.
I'm a big metal fan too!!
A friend of mine at work (burned) me a couple of CD's. Have you ever heard of (Poison Black)? He gave me two CD's of their music and they kick ass!!!!!
If I listen to metal when I'm on a trail ride, I get more into wheeling my truck harder and have alot more fun.
