I got a 1997  GMC Siarra that I'm building. It's bone stock right now cuz I just bought it like 2 days ago, but want to put a nice performance exhause on there. Ive been looking at magnaflow, grant, and borla exhaust's. What I want is an exhaust that sounds nice that will increase performance as well. If anyone has a sudgestion please let me know.

thanx

I don't know what your budget for this project is, but personally, I'd just take the old muffler out and put in a thrush turbo muffler or glass pack. The turbo muffler gives a nice tone to it but quiets down when you cruise. The glasspack is a straight through design so it's loud at any rpm. They are both around $20 ea. through summit. If you want a dual exhaust, you have a lot more money tied up in it for smog legal hedders and stuff. Other than that, build it out of elbows and stuff that you can find at your local parts store. I personally wouldn't pay for any of those high end kits. Hope this helped. one more thing, go on summit's site and look at the other mufflers and stuff. They have a pretty good selection. I believe Jeg's has a few cheap universal dual exhaust kits.
