ok i am very new to all of this and i have a few questions if you could help or at least point me in the direction i need to go for help
first off i own a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero sport and want to hook it up for basic beginning type offroad stuff for now and was wondering what type and how big of lift and tires i should put on if any and with that i havnt been able to find any for it i have had people suggest a 3-4" lift with 32 inch tires
also i want to install a higher ampre rated alternator around the 200 amp range as well as a dual battery kit and havnt been able to find any to my liking in that area either any suggestions?
my biggest problem in either case happens to be my location im in the US Navy and currently Stationed in Guam any help would be greatly appreciated

Mean Green Alternators are awesome. FInd a place to mount a second tray or box and then get painless's dual battery kit. As for lifts, depends on what you want to do with it, same with tires. More info in those fields would be appreciated.

You may want to just start by buying a more aggresive tire, like bfg m/t's or any interco, then upgrade as you see necissary.

i have a 93 and it so far completely stock, i am adding some 31 inch tires soon but the suspension is all stock, it is very capable even more so than my friends explorers, jeeps, avalanches, and f 150s and superduties, i can out weel just about anything else on the trail because monteros have such an awesome 4 wheel drive system. i gues what im saying is that as littlemods as possible are best, because it is always simpler. if you are looking for a lift kit, old man emu is one outlet that i know makes kits for monteros but it may be tough to find anything taller that 1 or 2 inches, otherwise you may have to look at lifting the body in addition to the suspension. i ope this was helpful.
