Is there a video of a diesel truck that beats a corvette?

Diesels cam be pushed hard, but even the upper limits of diesles are just about as fast as a stock z06

i havent seen any videos of that but i have heard and read about the DHRA (Diesel Hot Rod Association) where street legal diesels with massive engine and tranny mods run the 1/4m in 13s. and thats with stock suspensions and no weight reductions. Then there's their version of like top fuel (i think) and they run 1/4 miles in lest than 10s!!!!!! And other that being lower to the ground and have wide slick tires they still look stock to.

yea true, but it would be great to see the face of a vette owner when he's running all out and a "stock" looking 3/4 ton or bigger is running side by side with him!

the new z06 runs something like 11.7 in the quarter mile. that's pretty quick. I'm sure there are some diesels that run that quick, but not a stock truck with a chip. It would take turbo upgrades, massive heads and intercooler, trans help, gearing.......... etc etc

I have a vid on my machine of a '97 or so 1-ton Dodge in street trim knocking down an 11.04@128+ mph. He's racing an '03 supercharged Cobra Mustang. Poor Ford never had a chance!
I can send it to you if you wish.

Diesels are on there way up. W/ all the new technology for these engines we will see more 1 ton trucks racing around like import tuners, but w/ a trailer on the back. I had no idea what a diesel was capable of untill I bought mine. Wow. Cheaper to mod, more hp and tourq, and I could get the thing to run off used vegie oil. I think in the near futur we will see a lot diesels on the trail. Oh ya diesel might be a little more than gas now, but w/ the mileage I'm getting it still is cheaper than running my GMC w/ a 350.
