I 'm new to the 4x4 world and recently bought a lifted 92 S-10 Blazer with a 4.3 and 700 r4 trans it runs like a dream no miss while driving. When you let it idle in or out of gear it will kinda stutter a little not much but enough to notice.I've been told it could be the plug wires or could be cap and rotor also been told maybe even dist. but i'm thinking maybe the egr valve or idle control valve any ideas? Any help for the new guy would be appreciated.

If you bought the truck not to long ago go ahead, and replace plugs wires, and rotor. If the problem still persits go ahead and replace the egr valve. Hook it to a code reader and see if you get any codes. That will save you a lot of time.

Problem I had with mine was the O2 sensor. Have it put on a computer or run the codes, that will tell you a lot.

If you put it on a computer all that will come up is multiple random missfire been there before with a 96 chevy 1/2 ton 2 wheel and the screen had fallen off the fuel pump and it had sucked junk into the pump. New filter and a cleaned out pump and it ran fine
