I got an 87 monte carlo LS and it is has an 4.3 fuel injected I dont want to change the motor but want to add performence.what can I do?

hey i'm a big monte fan and also a big 4.3 fan. first get a copy of chevy power newest edition and a gm performance parts catalog. you can get cams, aluminum heads, or the 85 fast burn heads from monte 4.3's, some astro van came tih 4bbl high rise intakes. but definately get those two books they will be your best friend on that motor. now i'm not trying to just sell you something but i have a 4.3 block .030, crane cam, full worked heads that i just got back from the machine shop, and edelbrock aluminum valve cover, chrome timing chain. i was gonna put it in my jeep but i think i'm gonna go a different route with the jeep. it is not put together yet but i will do it if you are interested. good luck buy those books. oh yeah sanderson makes the best headers for the 4.3 also  

i wonder how hard it would be to just find a junked cyclone or typhoon motor to put in it. lol  

You could "wake" the monte up a lot with a axle gear swap. It likely has around a 2.73 axle ratio and a 3.42 or 3.73 would make it launch a lot better is that is what you are after.
