O was looking at the Road Test Results and noticed the "03 Ford Mustang Mach 1 at 13.8@102.5MPH. I laughed so hard I almost fell over. I have one of these machines and have raced it several times now at my favorite hometown track in San Diego, Carlsbad Raceway. My Mach 1 is bone dry stock and I ran it every single run on stock radials. My best run is a 13.20 @108.03MPH which I did on Saturday 2-28-04. My Mach has run a handful of 13.2's and every run is atleast 107MPH. That test driver must have been intoxicated or heavily medicated to run 13.8's in a 5spd Mach 1. I could miss 2 shifts and fall asleep and run those awful, awful times. How embarrasing as a Mach 1 owner that other people that do not frequent the race tracks think these cars run 13.8's! They'll be in for a huge surprise at the stop light!

where was the test from the mag done? Weather elements such as air temp and humidity play a big part in track times.
and the mach 1 isnt badass at all so get that out of your head and yes i have drove, one a few times to. Pancakes, its whats for breakfast

Anything that can run low 13's and is stock for under $35,000 is pretty bad ass as far as I go. You don't see any Chev's under that price tag running 13's!

Are you kidding me?? A Trans Am would run that stock, and was under 35000. Yes I know that they're done and gone, but even so, the mustang (in my opinion) isn't bad ass at all. I've drove all kinds, and the 4.6 is a lame engine. and 13.2 in the 1/4 is slow....hop on a bike and find out what real men drive

i would have to agree too.. my boyfriend has a 02 gt.. and i think that its bad ass.. so i would have no doubt that a mach 1.. which is a beautiful car.. would have no problem on the track. and if i were you i would get a nice exhaust on the mach 1.... or an x pipe or something.. but with the right stuff it would sound mean.
