You bought the ferd w/ a switch for the 4x4. OK now here is what you need to do. Get in that ferd, and head straight to a used car dealer. Trade that truck in for a 4x4 w/ the shifter on the floor. At this point make or model doesn't matter.  

Once I get the money I'm going to try to find a late 60's to early 80's K-5 Blazer 4x4 and sell my piece of crap Ford Ranger. I don't want to buy another computer controlled vehicle for the rest of my life. They are way too complicated to work on and when you take them to somebody else to fix those so called certified mechanics don't have a clue on what is wrong. Back in 2000 I switched from Chevy to Ford and as soon as funds are in order I'm going to buy another Chevy and never buy anything else. End of story!  

In my book if it has to say "4X4" on the side it's a poser or a wannabe. If I did like a Chevy truck with that on it, the first thing I would do is get it taken off! My favorite bumper sticker is: If you can't stop in time, smile as you go under" A buddy of mine has a big "Hummer Recovery Vehicle" decal on the rear window of his '80 K5. He gets flipped off by most hummer people he sees. Ha Ha!

The same goes for "Off Road" or "Super Duty". If it has to say "this truck kicks ass" on the truck from the factory, most likely it don't.  I don't see any "4X4" or "Off Road" stickers on a Hummer-I  either - ( the only hummer I do like). The rest are posers in my opinion.

Maybe someday I'll be able to. I'll probably need to get the "divorce" conversion done first, cause I don't think the wife would go for that expense at this point - I'm gonna miss her! 

As for bumper stickers, do you know of anybody that you hate or just a friend that you would like to mess with? There is a web site called www.prankplace.com that sells magnetic bumper stickers that would piss anybody off if they found out they had a certain bumper sticker on their car or truck. I thought of buying the whole package just for the laughs I'd get. Check it out!

We used to get a kick out of putting "I'd rather eat *** than drive a *** truck" on my buddy's Chevy Luv when I was stationed in San Diego Naval base. He would have a fit when he found it a few days later and figure out why all those folks were smiling at him as they passed him! He thought he was popular there for a while!

After owning several Chevy's and one Ford and seeing my friend fix his Mopar on a regular basis, it's no question on who makes the best truck or car.

Heres another chevy fan. I have 3 items that prove it, one being a chevy tattoo on my left arm, an 87 C30 with a 454 bigblock, and a 1992 25th Aniv model camaro with a 305. Dont get me wrong, Fords Dodges Yotas Jeeps etc all look good, look good stuck in the 2 inches of mud I rooster tailed 35 feet from the start of the mud hole I just blazed through.
