Yeah, Chevys are much better than Fords and ten times better than a piece of *** Dodge. If anybody is a mechanic that works on Mopar products they will have a job for life because of the junk they make. As for Chevy vs. Ford in a race it was a 84 Chevy S-10 with a 2.8 V-6 ( 110 hp ) 4- speed manual trans. and 3:42 gears vs. 93 Ford Mustang 5.0 V-8 ( 225 hp ) 5-speed manual trans. and 3:73 gears. You probalbly don't believe this but its true. THE BOWTIE IS THE BEST OF THE REST!!!!

I was watchin' a show last night about how the GM small block has been in production for more than 50 years now. It's one of the most reliable engines around. I had one in my '76 Olds Cutlass with a Quadrajet, One in my offshore boat with a Carter AFB, and one in each of my K5's - my first with a Holley 650 CFM, and my current one with a Holley 750 CFM. You just can't improve on perfection!  The Quadrajets are better than the Carters or the Holleys however.

Let the Ford crowd step up and say the same about their "Powerjoke" engines! I heard there are more than 800 lawsuits pending out there over this power plant.

Here in central Minnesota the life expetancy for any auto is 15 years. It really sucks in the rust belt. A person can hardly pay for a truck before it is disolved away. Any time I meet a Ford guy who thinks he knows all there is to know about trucks, I ask them to play a game called "Spot the '80s truck"

The rules are simple, Count all the pre 1990 trucks you see driving on the roads.

Yeah, I was a big fool when I bought a Ford. If I could, I would kick myself in the ass a hundred times for buying a POS Ford. Not trying to get off the topic but my 65' Chevy II Nova with a 283 C.U. small block, 350 Turbo Trans. 4-Barrel Quadrajet, Headers, Dual Exhaust, Mild Cam, and Posi Rear kicked some serius ass! If I don't buy another Chevy soon I think that I will lose my mind!

I remember when those F-150 crash tests made the headlines. The head of the nation's top crash test lab made a public statemet along the lines that he would never put a family member of his in a ford F-150!

The F-150 is the best selling because pepole are stupid. They buy a new truck with the intent to buy a new one in 3 to 5 years. And they get a "deal" when they return a Ford to a Ford dealership, or a Chevy to a Chevy dealership. The avrage lame brain won't swich brands. So, why build them to last if you do not have to, make them cheap.The avrage consumer continues to be blinded by advertising and is too stupid to see the differance betwen a regular maintance fix and a quality problem.

Pepole who buy a new truck do not realise, or do not care, that as soon as they drive it off the lot they lose $10,000.

A used Chevy is as good or better than a new Ford.

The "4X4" decal on the side is the worst!!  I drive a '77 K5 - I don't need a "4X4" decal on the side. If they can't tell if it's 4X4 there's something wrong wrong with da boy!

Yeah, I've got a dumbass friend that thinks if it doesn't say 4x4 on the side of the bed it isn't a 4x4. I told him to look underneath and he said oh, it is a 4wd. But he still said I should put a 4x4 sticker on it. What a dumbass!!!!!!  

lol These are the same people that have push button 4wheel drive because they can't figure out how to use the shifter on the floor.  

What are you trying to say to me? Are you being negative about the 4x4 that I bought? If I could go back in time and get my head on straight I would have stayed with a Chevy 4wd with the 4x4 shifter lever on the floor and stayed away from the pos Ford turn the knob on the dash 4x4!
