ok i have 76 land cruiser with a chevy 400 small block and i want to put stronger tougher axles under it with some thing like 4.88 gears in it, but not sure what axles i should go with so any of guyz have any suggestions that would be great. i just what some thing that wont twist and break under all the torque of the small block 400 my stock axles where doing great or so i thought this last time i pulled them the splines where starting to twist. so im open to all and any comments  and   suggestions

maybe try and find a d60 and 14 bolt ff outa a 1 ton chevy
