I have an addiction with '65 chevy pick-ups. I have one that I have had since high-school and have been thinking of restoring it if I ever get the time or the money. I have bought a parts truck and also a whole fiberglass body. Plus, my Dad and I have parted out a variety of other vehicles over the years. We have lots of GM parts laying around the shop which has come in handy in times of need because my '83 chevy trashed the 10 bolt rear end and I was able to swap it out with a 12 bolt from a '70's something suburban that to our supprise had a matching ring and pinion ratio and some sort of locker. But I am tired of being a pack-rat and all the clutter, plus it is taking up to much space. My question is what do I do with all this usable stuff that's just laying around waiting to be used again? It stuff that could be used if someone were to build something cheaply (frames, cabs, motors, power stearing pumps, starters, alternators, heaters, rear axles, front axles, and what ever else you might find on a vehicle. And, what are all your opinions when it comes to restoring vehicles regarding reusing parts? Such as heaters and other in cab items. If they are already out, should I replace with new equipment, or take the chance and reuse a part that might fail shortly after, but is origional?
