I HAVE A 1972 K-10 4 WHEEL DRIVE PICKUP WITH WORN OUT MANUAL STEERING. WHAT YEARS OF POWER STEERING SYSTEMS WILL FIT IT? I WOULD NEED TO KNOW WHICH ENGINE BRACKETS AND PULLEYS WILL BE NEEDED OR IF THE COMPLETE SYSTEM FROM A PARTICULAR YEAR OTHER THAN 1972 WILL WORK. IT HAS A 350 ENGINE. THANK YOU

The nice thing about the 350 is it went almost totally unchanged untill about 1996 or so. So any brackets or pumps from a 95 or earlier truck should fit and as far as the ram with a little old fashioned enginuity you probably could get almost anything to work as long as it came out of a four wheel drive. You no doubtably have V belts on the engine so you are going to be looking for a 87 or older pump and bracket. dont forget the crank pulley. Yours probably only has 2 grooves. One for the fan/water pump, and one for the alternator, but youll need a third groove to drive the pump or check out a serpentine conversion kit from March. Good luck

Did you realize that was posted August of 2003. I don't think he is still waiting for an answer, lol.
There are more brackets and pulleys than you realize badbowtie, so you can't just take them of any Small block Chevy vehical.
