I have an offset dana 44 rear out of a '55 CJ5, that I am trying to fix.
The locking pin for the spider gears wont come out because the ring and pinion gears are in the way.
does anyone know how this old setup works?

1:remove the case from the housing
2:remove ring gear from case
3:remove small bolt holding center pin
4:remove center pin from housing
5![]() ick up the spider gears off of the floor because they will fall right out if you are not carefull.
1993 YJ on 3/4 ton 1983 J-20 axles
