On 79 p/u toyota, I have the 20R and would like to convert to a v8.
i have bult alot of ford rangers and bronco ii. but this my first toyota.
what make v8 would best suit my yoata , chevy,ford or dodge
i was eyeing the 84-86 305 h.o. ecarb.with that what t-case and any techinfo on insalling this or any other V8 ideas coments would shure be appriecated

Whenever I see toyotas with V8's in them usually they are useing the mustang 5.0. By what I know that is the best to use in your Toyota.

if u had to use a chevy, i wouldnt, dont use the 305, use the 350. the 350 will out performe the 305 anyday of the week. im a Ford guy though and would use a 302, parts may be a little more then chevy but its worth the better performance.

avoid 302 and 305s look into small blocks with big torqe gains remember the lighter the better i.e. aluminum parts are lighter than cast steel maybe a corvet motor main thing find something that can or is fuel injected.
