I have a 1980, F 150 Ranger, {yes this was before the dawn of the little rangers} 4X4 with a 302 v8 and a Borg-Warner tranny, and a NP208-F transfer case, and 350 gears. The tranny is a T-18, and the numbers on the side are...13-01-065-907. My tranny is throwing itself out of 4th gear, and im not sure why. Can anyone tell me what is causing this, and how to fix it?I have removed the top and I couldnt see anything that was greatly worn down, but I dont know much about tranny repairs. I tried swiching top-ends with another T-18, but without success. Any help would be great, thanks.
