I would say the chance of breaking a Dana 60 with 44-inch tires is low.  Now this is dependent on the type of wheeling you do, and if you are talking about a front or rear Dana 60.

Most 3/4 ton's don't have a front Dana 60 and whatever smaller axle that they do have will most likely break with 44's if you are serious about "gettin it on".

Give us the rest of the specs of the  vehicle, and what type of wheeling you do, or want to do.

i am talking about a rear dana 60 not a front. i dont know what the front axle is ill go check somepoint, (its on our ranch 1 hour away from here, so i cant check now).  these are 14 inch wide 44's so they should be alot lighter than say a 19 inch wide bogger or something.  I will be mostly crawling, not playing in the mud so extreme throttle should not often be an issue.  The motor is a 400 ci if that matters any.

WITH A DANA 60 IN THE FRONT YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY BRAKAGE THE DANA 60 IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST UNITS EVER MADE
