hey members today i went playing in the mud with some of my friends.  Every thing was all great until my fourwheel drive quit working.  when i lock the hubs in the shafts lock like they are supposed to. the transfer case shifts into 4 wheel fine but 4 wheel doesnt work. im wondering if any of you fellow gear heads have any ideas if its the gears in my axle or t-case if you have any ideas just hit me on my email yellowrider128@aol.com   

put it in 4wd and have someone watch to see if the front drive shaft turns.  If it doesn't then either you are not in 4wd, or the transfercase is broken. If it does then watch to see if the front axleshafts turn, if they don't then the front dif/gears may have a problem.  what year make and model truck do you have?  

my truck is a 1987 chevy 1/2 ton with 4 speed manual and 4" lift right now and it has the old style tank transfercase. Thanks for your help i will be sure to have a friend or my dad help me check these out my dad already said he thinks its the transfer case haha but i was hoping he was wrong thank for your help
