Ok I am writing again about my 86 chevy pickup stalling out when it gets at a constant speed for a long time. It starts to stall out and it eventually gets so bad i can barelky drive it. i replaced the distrubter cap, coils, spakr plugs and wires. The last thing i can think of is to change my modual. I tested it and it said it was fine, but maybe they cant get it hot enough and at high enough rpms to really test it right.
Maybe it is my carb? Hose/vacuum leaks?
Let me know what you guys think
Thanks

Hello Paul! The ignition module would be the next thing I would change as well. It may test fine, unless you can test it when it is acting up at that time. heat is probably making it break down good luck, Jim. .

have you checked fuel delivery? you may have debris in your filter. when the truck sits it settles to the bottom of the filter allowing fuel to flow freely to the carb. as you drive around, the debris may be getting mixed around in the filter, restricting fuel flow. can't hurt to check it out, a standard in line filter is only a couple bucks.

Thanks for the help\. I figured out the problem, My fuel pump was on its way out. I changed it and now it seems to be running fine.
