make sure nothing is touching your shifter
it could be your body is moving or maybe it isnt and your engine- trans is moving... i bet it only pops out when your on the gas right?

look at the stick... put your hand on it and see if its a hard bump or a softer one. look for things that hit it, body would be the first guess for me.

was told that it might not have the extender for the shifter. pulled the shift boot up an put it in reverse, looks like it's hitting the body. guess i could cut back the body more?

cut the body a bit back. not too much.
if i were you i would just beat it back in that one spot with a hammer and chisle.
or for a true rigging.. put it in first and push the shifter forward more to bend it. heating it up would also help.
BUT before you do anything look at your stick and body if it moves a lot.. more than an inch i would check the motor and tranny mounts. its common for them to *** out on you.
good luck one of my answers will help you
