I have a '80 cj7 with the 258 and the carter carb. I recently came across a late '80's 2.8 TBI chevy s10 blazer. I want to hook the tbi up on my 258. I have taken the computer, wiring harness, throttle body, everything that i thought i needed, i took. I know I need to hook up an oxygen sensor, the tps, and a temp sending unit. what else do I need besides an adapter for the intake. Any help will be appriciated.

Turbo City makes TBI fuel injection kit for the 258 straight 6 that uses the Chevy TBI parts. They might be able to get you the parts and tech help you'll need.

Just to ad my input your also gonna need a new fuel pump, if i remeber right the tbi in that needs 12 to 17 or 18psi to operate properly, the carb will probly only have 3-7psi if that, so your gonna need a fuel pump, but those are pretty cheap, like i think mine for my blazer was under 40 bucks, but good luck.

Yep, you're right. I forgot to mention that. 80CJ7, you'll need a new fuel pump and a return fuel line back to the tank for excess fuel. If you can find a tank from a fuel injected vehicle (maybe a Wrangler) it will have the in-tank baffles, fuel pick up, and fuel return line fitting. You could make the original tank work, but it will require more work. The in tank pumps are best, if you can find one to fit in your existing tank, but an inline fuel pump will also work, just make sure that it is mounted close to the tank where it will stay primed and won't have to suck the fuel too far. The inline pumps are better at pushing the fuel than pulling it. If you can't use the fuel pump from a Blazer, you'll probably need a fuel pressure regulator to make sure the pressure is not too high.
