I have built a 300 up for my F-150.  If you want ideas for parts check out Cliffordperformance.com  Their prices are a high, but they have good stuff.  Also search the web for Offenhauser intake manifolds.  I have an Offy C-series and is it awesome!  They allow you to put a 4-barrel carb on your 300.  I gained about 20 ponies from that alone.

Crane and Comp cams both make big cams for a 300.  Sealed power makes oversized (forged or cast) pistons.  I know that PAW carries these parts ands more.  Their catalog is a couple bucks, but its worth it.  You can get Rhodes lifters, stainless steel valves, and roller rockers too.

Let me know if you want other info.

300's never die, they just keep chugging!

I have added a Holley 750 double pumper, Offenhuaser C-series intake manifold, Crane cam, Sealed Power 9:1 compression forged pistons,  Rhoads lifters, Hedman header, and chrome-moly pushrods.  I had the block bored over .030" and ported the head myself.

The intake manifold, carb, and header are the easiest and biggest horsepower boost.  If you want to spend some cash and do a complete rebuild I suggest you put in every mod you can.   My 300 will rip up the road.  I can tow 8,000 pounds up these passes in Wyoming in 4th gear now.

My truck is lifted 6" with a homemade front straight axle conversion.  I run 35" BFG AT's and 38.5x11" TSL Boggers depending on the trail.  What are you plans for the Bronco?
