alright heres the deal while im driving the oil pressure is fine but when im at a red lite idling oil pressure is nonexistant. i think my oil pump is going but not sure

What's your RPM's at? Give it a rev when your not moving, if the pressure jumps up, your good.
If you don't trust it get a higher volume pump
