Cause i'm gonna add a...
"Grille Guard" and your all in DANGER!!!
- Hopefully not a real opinion-
scary thought eh? well thats a product that most off roaders like myself would own and mot think twice about attaching. Actually, many experts in various areas have seen the damage first hand in trauma centers and morges across the USA. I am beggining to think BULL BARS and GRILLE GUARDS are a risk to other operators and pedestrians. They take a normal fender bender and increase the personal injury 10 fold. If it hits you...Death occurs at just 12 mph!

I blew a brake line once and rear ended the car in front of me, I tacoed his trunk and the only damage to my bumper was a little scuffing on the powdercoating. However, w/ a stock bumper I would have no place to mount my winch or lights and I would have ripped it off multiple times on the trail. everything in life is a trade off, drive safe and hope it doesn't come to your extreme conclusions. By the way, a person can be crushed by any vehicle moving at surprisingly low rates of speed, at least they could lay down and not get hit by anything on my 4x.

2 years ago my wife ran over a drunk driver with my truck. It crushed the Oldsmobile and only broke the tie rod end on the truck. The drunk driver never got a DUI and sued us. He ended up getting $2,000 out of me. One year later the same idiot pulled out in front of my wife again, this time he wasn't so lucky. One less drunk driver on the road now. That time my 8 month old son was with my wife. If it were not for my truck I may not have either of them arround today. My truck probably saved other lifes by getting that drunk off the road perminantly. Untill the cops start doing something about drunk drivers you should really stop complaining about a little bumper.
The only people that have had their cars crushed by my truck have been drunk! And all 3 times they got away with no legal action taken against them. As I see it I would rather take a drunk off the road then put my family in danger.
I never once had a fender bender of any kind with a sober person. If DUI's kill why not kill DUIs?

My brush guard saved my truck the other day. A woman cut me off, and slammed on the brakes to make a turn. I had my trailer in tow, and couldn't stop. Her car was tottaled. My truck just needs a new brush guard, and bumper. The accident investigator said the brush guard not only saved the front of my truck, but also kept the air bags from going off. She was at fault for the accident, and tickited.

In the state of Md. if you are in an accident regardless of who is in the wrong, anyone who is drunk is always the one who is going to get in trouble regardless of the situation. Alot of times the other person is at faught also or entirely. but sometimes isn't charged. This seems kinda weird in a way but I guess this is their way to try to keep drunk drivers off the road. In some ways I think they should enforce this same procedure in all states of the U.S.A.
What do you think?

I wish that it was that way in Pennsylvania and Arkansas. If you drive anywhere between 10pm and 8am on a Friday or Saturday there are drunks evrywhere.

In Florida they do regular un-scheduled road blocks where they pull anyone over who even resembles fitting the profile! Most of this is driven by MADD groups (Mothers against drunk driving). It's a good thing, I think. People shouldn't be on the road with anyone's family if they're drunk! My dad was one of those drunks for years. He just passed on from sirrosis of the liver. Sux, but that's the life he made for himself. Luckily he never hit anone.

They have the drunk check points where I live also but only on holiday's. They sometimes write it up in the local paper, but don't tell you where it's gona be, which is a good thing at least for the drunks. I think they should do it whenever they feel like it just to cut done on the deaths across the country. In the state of Md. sometimes there are more deaths caused by drunk drivers than any other accident. One other thing that should be illegal to me is cell phone usage in a vehicle. I've had so many people cut me off or come over the center line or even come close to rear end me because they were on their freaking cell phone. I myself don't own a cell phone and if I ever buy one I will never talk on the phone while driving. If someone calls me, I will pull over and stop where it's safe to talk.

im 2-0 vs cars to but with my stock bumper! Now with my new custom tube steel bumper/grille guard/winch mount setup now nobody wants to play with my on the road anymore. tried to chase down a few deer but they're a little more nimble than my 3/4 ton Dodge
