I cant seem to find a snorkel that I can put onto my 99 blazer (i know its 2wd I'm sorry).  I'd like a snorkel cause water throught the air intake was how i screwed up my motor to the current condition.  I'm trying to make it somewhat wheelable so i can go out and have some fun in it.

any suggestions welcomed.  think one can be made of PVC pipe & silicon?  Also how would i water proof everything else in my engine

Lastly what sized steel piping should i use for the cage (which may or maynot go onto the current blazer but another blazer bought just for this purpose.   I was thinking 2-1/2 to 3" pipe, would that get attatched directly to the frame or somewhere else

The NHRA (drag racing) mandates all cages be made with at least 0.134" wall tubing at about 1 3/4" diameter. This 'll be plenty strong. Hope that helps!

for the cage i would use something closer to 2" than 3". make sure you ask for tubing and not pipe when you buy it. also get at least .120 wall mild steel. you could get away with thinner tube by using chromoly or dom but it's more expensive.

I've got the plans for the cage now all thats left is the snorkel.  I've looked almost everywhere and I still cant find a GM one.  I was thinking maybe I could construct one out of PVC pipe and attatch it where the o2 sensor is so I could keep it, put it through my fender but I'd have to move my fuse box somewhere.

If anyone knows where I can find a snorkel for a gm let me know before i start buying the PVC pipes

Your O2 sensor? It needs to go to your intake...

Some PVC pipe, a few elbows, a flex coupling or 2 and a big hole in your fender... Top it off with a K&N cone filter.

As for the roll cage, buy tubing, not pipe.  DOM (drawn over mandrel) is stronger than the welded seam (HERW) tubing. HERW is ok for bumpers or noncritical structures like a shock hoop.

Unless you are an excellent welder making your own 'cage may not be a project that you want to tackle...
