I've got a stock 01 Ram 1/2 ton, 42Kmi., with a snapped crankshaft and naturally a wasted engine.  Since the service center decided it was a manufacturer defect, I've so far convinced them to pay for the new engine, but I'm still stuck with $2,500 in labor.  I've had district services representatives fly in from out of state because they didn't believe this would happen on such a new truck, but still haven't covered the rest of the bill.  I was wondering if anyone knew where or who I could go to in order to get the labor covered as well.  When I bought this truck, I never thought the engine would tear itself apart after 3 months.  Dodge's are supposed to have the bullet proof drive trains.  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

stealth, I am sorry for your loss and have emailed you. Would love it if you'd let us in on what has happened since if anything, and what happened all in all. You have a right to be pissed.  

Where are you at?? I work for a dealer (honda) here in NJ and if the engine was still under warrentee (was it?) there should be no cost at all. We had a lady destroy her accord motor and we had to replace it at no cost to her.  I know, different type and location, but it's usually the same.

I live in Utah.  The truck is not under warranty.  It took a week just to get the parts covered and I'm still struggling to get the labor money back.  

Man that really sucks.......Dodge.  I have never been a fan of dodge, and this just gives me another reason to hate them. GM and FORD all the Way.   

Dont even get me started i have growen tired of arguing for dodge over the net. ill put my truck up aganst any thing . I may not win but ill Go down trying.  

Haha sounds good your truck could most likely take mine anyways.  Am I not the only one who has given you crap for Dodge?   What are you driving currently?
