Steep gears in a GM 8.5" 10-bolt?

I was wondering if anyone knows if a GM 10-bolt will accept higher gears than 3.73. I'd like 4.11 if it'd fit. Would I need a different series carrier to run them?

I thick a 10bolt will have lower gears all the way down to like 5.13 but the only case change is for the highest gears like 2.73 so 4.10 or 4.56 should not need a new carrier they were trying to make them simpler than the 12 bolt that have 3 diffrent carriers and only i think go up to 4.56 gears. If you go to www.4wheelparts.com or some other ad in one of the magazines you kind see what gears are aviable and the carrier breaks.  I have not tried but have heard that if you find a 10bolt 5lug with the gears you want you can swap axle shafts with your 6lug ones.  which would be simplier than setting up a ring and pinion.
