Tire Size VS. Lift Height

I'm going to put a 3" lift on my truck, but cannot decide what size tires to get.  I'm thinking about 31" or 33" mud terrain tires.  Which would look better on my truck (96 sierra)?  Also, the tires on there now appear to be about 30 or 31", so I would think a 33" tire would fit with a 3" lift.  Besides that, I don't want to have the biggest tire possible on my truck, I want it to look good, with some room in between the wheel wells and the tires.  Suggestions?  Thanks.

Hey gmctrucker! I think 31's would still look okay. With a three inch lift there may still be some rubbing with 33x12.5"-15's, probably not though. Other people here will be able to tell you if it'd work. I've seen trucks with a small lift and 33's but I don't know if there were clearance issues. If your not sure, check out a tire like 32x11.5-15.
