different laws between counties, basicly what i am saying is that if you

chaged something, carb, exhuast, chips and so on your probely screwed.

I have no problem with cleen air but this is going to be a nightmare

for those with older work and play trucks in our counties

If the vehicle passes  why would they even bother to visually inspect it? And why is there no cut off year? (meaning a vehicle from some time like 1934 could have to be tested which seems ludicrous to me) Where I live they want to know that all emissions equipment is in place (I don't think they even test to see if they still work) and that the exhaust ain't to dirty or rich. Also no vehicles older than 20 years need testing here. (Most people feel lucky to get more than 10 years from a car here anyway)

(Continued from the last letter...)

Them insisting on visually inspecting a vehicle that passes the sniffer (and the sniffer is really all clean emissions are about) to me seems un-American and  more communist or Nazi in doctrine!

her in ga the cut off is 25 years old so january an 80 don't need it no more.  that is why i like my old truck.  I had a 91 plymouth work car that got 28mpg and it kept failing so i had to sell it to someone a county over that is still driving it 4 years later with no problem and drive my old truck that don't need emmisions and uses more than twice the gas and god only knows how many more emissions.  but what really sucks is that the counties to the south and west of mine don't have to have them checked.
