Hey i have a question i heard that you couuld be going about 45mph and drop a automatic transmission into 1st gear and it doesn't hurt it is this true

You could drop it to first and you MIGHT not notice any damages, at least not for a little while, but parts wear out and the more abuse you give it the shorter the life span. Then again, sometimes it only takes one hit to knock it out. I wouldn't if it was my tranny.
