I have a 85 Camaro with a 2.8, i also have a 4.3L out of a 92 S-10 blazer and was wondering if the engine would match the stock trans and if the computer for the 4.3 would work if it used to be 4x4.  

The transmissions are NOT the same, the 4.3 trans is the same as a chevy s.b and is a 90 degree, the 2.8 is a 60 degree and will fit 3.1, 3.4 and the like. as for the computer, if you retain the complete wiring harness from the S-10 it might work, the computer does not govern the 4X4 operation.
