the only real problem with an 80s blazer is the frame at the steering box. there is a brace you can get to correct it from offroad design and wile your there check out there cross over steering set up its sweet.

I dont know if your talking the full size or the S-10 blazers but the S-10 blazer 4.3 has a spark plug a little less then 2 inches from the stearing column thats almost impossable to reach and change.

Is there any thing wrong with a 1980 chevy blazer? whatt are you #### crack? it comes factory with a 205 t-case mounted to a tb350 how could you wrong? and the dope who metioned the steering box should have told you alomost all older cheves have cracks in the frame by the steering box (easy fix) the ONLY problem with this year is they made them with very poor recycled steel causing the bodies to rust out early but the drive train is A-1 i bought one beat to crap just for that reason

Yeah, make sure you DO NOT buy one with a 305 or a 700R4 tranny, (no matter how good the deal may seem!) You will regret it. There are many of them out there with this combo and/or one of the two. You will most likely be quite happier if you get 350/350 combo. This is also one of the most reliable set up from that time period. Oh yeah, one more thing, try your hardest to get one with a np205 t-case. If you get all three in one basket, you will be set.
