while installing my new transfer case i realized that my front driveshaft's cv joint was broken. all the internal parts (the two seals, the ball, spring etc...) were ruined. does anyone know of how to repair a cv, or buy a new/used one for cheap.

What kind of vehicle is it on?? I can check my work tomorrow (Autozone) and see if we stock them. Usually you can purchase a remanufactured one for pretty cheap. I just had to replace mine on my 93 Chevy k1500. It only cost me like 40 bucks.

Its a driveshaft cv, not a axle shaft cv. YOu can buy rebuild kits I believe or just buy a new shaft.
