I work at a Honda dealership, and I'm telling you, elements are NOT designed to off road!!!! I can (and have) held the transfer case in one hand. The worst I would take that thing on is a farming road, and not a very rough one at that. The drive train is not designed for the kind of abuse that wheeling would give it. REMEMBER..... Yeah, I got an upgrade. Sell it and buy a real truck, with a real motor (V8).

I don't remember what size the stock tires are, but I honestly think that staying with the stock ones are the best. You don't have alot of extra room for bigger tires. Maybe the next size or two may fit. I talked to the senior techs at work, and they said that the 4wheel system is just a hyped-up all wheel drive. It is mainly for bad roads and weather. The rims are 16" and are a good size for it. Unless you want to go "gangsta" on it and go with 24"s and lo-profile tires. REMEMBER..... PEACE THROUGH SUPERIOR FIREPOWER

What you can do with a element is run it off a cliff because you will not get anywhere oofroad with it and if you do you will get stuck in a sec. beacuse it is a H O N D A. you need a pickup truch or a large suv.
