how hard is it to put a toyota 22r and 5speed tranny in a 88 samurai i'm cerrently changing running gear  

in one of last years mags there  a guy that did the mod so it is possable that about all i know sorry i cant be more help then that  

ok here it is i have a 84 samurai and put a celica 20r motor along with the autamatic trans and i had to move the transfercase back and to the right so i had to make a new crossmeber and had to cut out some of the tunnel for the trans to fit but it was still pretty long so i took the front end off and made a custom front bumper to hold the radiator all though if u have a soft top on it u could put the radiator in the back here is some pictures that i hope will help u and if u plan on lifting it u will probally have a problem with axel wrap so u might have to tip the rear end and add a traction bar its a project butt the end resault is a powerful sammy that will probaly go anywere like i said i hope this will help i hope u get the pistures i am new to transfering pics so i dont know if it worked
