I have a 1972 Chevy k5 blazer cst with a 350 v8,th350,np205. I have 9 total inches of lift and am running 39.5" TSL's. I have decided to swap a th400 for my current transmission. Would i need a new t-case too, could i use the np205 with the th400? Also, my current tranny doesnt have a slip yoke, but the turbo400 does, could this be a problem as well. I am going to replace the tranny myself, and am trying to keep this as simple as possible. I do not have access to a welder if that would be needed. If there is too much work in the way of welding, cutting, etc. i will just stay with the th350. Also if anyone of you have any tips or have come upon any catches when doing a tranny swap similar to this, im all ears.
thanks

YOU CAN USE THE TH400 WITH AN NP205 BUT YOU WILL NEED THE PROPER ADDAPTER FOR THE T-CASE, CHANGE THE OUTPUT SHAFT IN THE TRANS TO MATCH THE NP205, AND YOU MAY HAVE TO HAVE THE DRIVSHAFTS SHORTENED/LENGHTEND .YOU CAN GET THE ADDPT. FROM ADVANCED ADDAPTERS AND THE OUTPUT SHAFT FROM A TRANNY SHOP
