I own an 87 S-10 2.5 L. I blew up the engine in it 1 1/2 years ago. I bought an engine for it in Feb. After we got it in and fired it up the RPM's went through the roof. Long story short, I just recently learned that the used engine I bought was an 86 engine. The intake manifold to my original engine does not match up to the head. It is blocking the ports by about 50%. The reason I did not use the manifold that came with the engine was because it had a Model 300 TBI, while my original is a Model 700 TBI. I used my original manifold to keep from having o rewire everything. Well, here's my question, is there anyway I can take the manifold used by the Model 300 TBI and install a Model 700 on it? That way I just swap manifolds. My only other option is to replace the head with one from an 87. TIA
