Claws are awesome, xterrains are ok but basically just aknock off imo. I would never run them, to many other options on the market.  

Why are TSL Thornbirds a joke? I will agree not too popular as I think I am one of three people in my county that run them. But I have been very impressed with thier ability in the mud. I just got rid of my AT's and these tires are way better in the mud. which is all my truck sees besides the pavement. I can take most everything in 2wd now. the deep stuff requires 4wd but just playing around in the mud on weekend I hardly get stuck like i did with my at's. I have heard that as far as what TSL offers for offroad tires the Thornbirds arent top of the line. but in the wide world of tires they are very good in the mud.  

They are a glorified a/t with aggressive sidewall traction. Any m/t or real off road tire will outperform them hands down.
