Not bad seeing this all came from a public roada dn what you see is after one wash and a 30 mile drive home at highway speeds!

Got a question for anyone and everyone. I'm having trouble posting my pic here on the web. It's a tiff file if that makes a difference. Does it need to be a jpeg or a gif? I've tried the copy paste method, but paste won't show up on the web. Kinda bummed now that I have this new digital camera and I can't get my wheeling pics on the web. Any help would be appreciated.

you need to find the file your pic is in. you cant copy and paste it and i think both formats will work on here.
you have to locate the pic folder then find your pic you like best
then on the bottem of your post (before you send it out) find *Attatch Files*
From attatch files you will get a window. click *browse...* then you must locate your picture that you want to put on your post. then click *upload* it may take some time to upload. then click *Done*. you should be done after this. and it will take a few seconds even minutes to load. mine does anyway.
also there is limited size that you can post on here. im not sure what the max size is but there is one. when i say size i mean how much the pic takes up in memory.
if your pics are too big tell me about it and ill work it out. i have a program that re sizes it so it takes up less space and memory
goodluck

I tried the attach files deal, clicked on upload and all, but nothing happened after that. I didn't get a progress bar at all. I clicked done, but the file was not attached. I've got Photoshop 8.0 so I have all the software I need to shrink or enlarge the photo. I've already shrunk it down. The website didn't say anything about the photo being too big or anything. I don't know what's going on. Starting to get a bit frustrated though.
Mrfredwilliams - any ideas on what might be going wrong?? what's the max size a photo can be?

open the image in photoshop
then under "image" scroll down to "image Size"
change it to roughly 6 x 8 inches and 72 pixels per inch
click "ok"
then click "save as" under File
type in a new file name and change the format to JPEG
then try to upload, it should work better

Thanks mfrfredwilliams, I finally got it to work.
It's a 79' Scout Traveller with a 3" body lift and a SOA w/ cross over sterring done by R.E.D. It has extended shock mounts up front w/ RS5000's all around, a 345 V8 w/ a Mallorey HEI distributor, wires, and coil. The axles are factory D44's open up front/Detroit locker in the rear w/ 3.73's. Power is converted to Torque through the factory T-19a (6.32:1 1st gear) tranny coupled to a Dana 20 t-case w/ a Teralow 3.15 gear reduction kit in it. The drive shafts had to be replaced so I went with stronger tubes and u-joints in the process. It rides on 35/12.5 BFG MT/KM's with 10" chrome spokes.
In this pic I was just messing around, so I didn't want to disconnect the front anti-sway bar. That's why the front end looks like it hasn't flexed a bit, and why the rear lifted a tire.

that scout looks too straight to be in AZ. what's the toughest trail you've had it on? i don't know if i've told you but i haven't had my cj out since i've been here. i busted the t-case in the oregon dunes on the transport down and haven't fixed it yet. i've checked out lots of pics on azrockcrawler.com and these trails look insane. by the way, are you going to the table mesa cleanup on the 31st? or do you pretty much stay on your end of town? i'll probaly be there but in my grocery getter.
i'll try to get a pic of my jeep on but the only one i have is the front tires on a vertical wall beside a waterfall, there's a little vegetation on it so i'll probably get blasted. the other option is to take a new pic of it in my driveway but that's lame.

I am located in the SW. Tempe, AZ. to be exact. I've run all of the hardest parts on the Crown King trail, but that was before the 4 low kit and while my t-case was going south on me. It kept popping out of 4-low. I've done F-42, numerous sycamore creeks (still haven't done the one where the Christmas tree burn is at though), and various unamed trails. One of the main reasons I haven't hit the really hard stuff, is because I don't have anyone to wheel with. This monday I'm going to try and join the AZVJC on the Box Canyon run. I don't know about the clean up. Maybe. I've got a lot on my plate right now. As far as my Scout being straight, all I can say is that grey primer can hide a whole lot of dents, dings, and bad bondo (one of the previous owners put it on it's pass. side I think) plus I don't like to beat on it. Someday I'll get another truck and use the Scout for just for trail duty. I do like to stay in my area, which is the Phoenix, Florence Jct., AJ area. Gas prices are to high for my gas guzzler to venture out really far unless I'm gonna be there a couple of days.
I've thought of doing twin sticks, but I haven't really made any moves towards buying or fabbing something. I'm not satisfied with my crawl ratio. I'm not able to idle up obstacles. The 3.73's aren't cutting it. The problem is that I bought a Detroit for the rear a while ago, and would have to buy a new one because of the bigger ring gear. I'm not looking forward to spending another $600 bucks for a new locker, not to mention an additional $400-$500 for lower gears.
I'll try to get somemore up, but these are the first one's I've taken since I got my digital camera.

I'm just going to guess, but you didn't make it up that waterfall did you. = ) Where is that anyway? How did your carb handle the incline? I just did Box Canyon and Martinez Cabin last monday with the AZ virtual jeep club. They were kind enough to let me go with them. It was a fun trail, but not exactly what I would call challenging. There were a few spots to play at though that added some challenge and a high pucker factor for those without lockers. Check out the pics at http://members.cox.net/topjimmy/jeep/box112/index.htm

no, didn't make the waterfall. my friend(in the other pic) and i where just playing around on the beach. i had just finished my soa before i moved to phx and hadn't even driven it yet. it was the first trip for the white home made jeep/buggie thing as well. we were just down on the beach parking on logs, rocks and inclines checking out our suspensions. my carb didn't take the incline. it's a 625 carter. i don't even know if all the engine bearings were getting oil. i just got it up there and shut it down. i'll probably need a q-jet to go rockcrawling.
the pictures were taken at sandlake, oregon. just south of tillamook(where they make the cheese) i went up for two weeks last aug. to pick up my jeep. we stopped at the ohv park on the way home. most of my wheelin' buddies, and members from my 4x4 club were there. it was kind of a farewell thing.

Mmm, Tillamook cheese. I was recently in one of those situations where I was at an incline to long due to my t-case popping out of gear. When I made it to the top of the obstacle one of my lifters was making a terrible noise. Fortunately it went a way, though I know the damage is done. I'm running a 650 Carter AFB and I love how easy it is to work on and swap jets, and metering rods. I've adjusted the float levels, but I'm really finding it hard to get a happy medium where it will perform well on the street, but not choke out at steep angles. I'm really considering going with a GM TBI setup. The TBI on my dad's Sub has worked great offroad. I've also heard that Holley has made a carb specifically for offroading, but I wonder if it's as finicky as the rest of their carbs, not to mention as complicated.
