yeah build a scout, build it for the trail. & take a fullsize blazer or jimmy and build it for mud. build a tube honda car and make it a rockcrawler.(use the stock style engine). then use a fullsize ifs ford and make it a sand truck.
Hey don't forget about the little samurai. i haven't seen one of those in a while. i know there pretty awsome offroad because i have been out done a couple of times by one.

kind of offended about "bunch of tubes, little jeeps, and serious base, a TRUCK" most of the trails i've been on are dominated by little jeeps and tube stuff. we stress and sometimes break drivetrain components trying to get you fullsize mud guys recovered when your swampers dig your framerails to the ground( because you guys think the skinny pedal will compensate for any loss of traction). usually with nothing more than a "thanks dude" and you're on your way, leaving us with dead batteries, broken driveshafts, bent bumpers, and other miscelleneous problems. jeep is the only 4x4 manufacturer advertising off road capability. i've seen a grand cherokee hood deep in mud, snow, and hillclimbing on the commercials, and this is their luxury product. their products are" trail rated". i don't know what that means but i know it's not drag racing horse trailers or trailered classic cars. jeep invented 4wheeling. it used to be called "jeepin". "truckin" refers to hauling stuff. trucks are built for towing, and i have one to tow my tube jeep.
didn't want to start a fight but i probably did. mud trucks have a solid place in the offroad community but i don't think they are the majority. and the top rigs in your sector are built out of "tubes"
P.S. the ult. avalanche is a good example? yeah, i'm gonna take a $35K rig, drop annother $10K into it and beat the piss out of it to show off to my freinds. might as well have a turn key sniper built!

Okay- IFS that works. Got it. I've wanted to show some cool stuff for IFS for a while now. How about some torsion bars that make IFS trucks handle better? Cool or no?

Let me guess your from CA. Well take a trip to anywhere else in the country and you would see different. Your right trucks are made for towwing, or hauling or heavy duty sh**. That was the WHOLE POINT OF MY POST! YOU SUMMED IT RIGHT UP FOR ME. NOW DO YOU SEE WHY I DONT WANT TO SEE A JEEP OR TUBE CREATION FOR THE NEXT BUILDUP? Thats why they make a hell of a mudder. As for you comment about pulling a fullsize rig out and damaging yours i think you contradicted yourself on that one too. And thats not the trucks fault its the driver. Some people think because they are driving fullsize means they dont need lockers or beefy driveline components, well they are wrong but certinly not the majority of fullsize drivers. MY POINT WAS SIMPLY THIS, if this is a magazine about trucks, then build a TRUCK. A buggie crawling 1/2 mph over a boulder, then not even being able to do that and winching over it, is not that appealing to me. (im not knocking it mind you). But it does not represent the characteristics and qualities of a truck. so keep the tubes in the valley with the surfboards "right on?"

i still like my idea's on the tube framed truck with a light cab in the middle.
i like my H2 all out high doller project also. - only for dreamers tho
but the best thing i wanta see, an s10 blazer dana 60s F-R 4.3 and an atlas, or cheaper an Np205 or dana 300. twinsticks ![]()
use any body really just use a box frame with the smallest amout of lift on it. o yeah use coilovers front and rear to move the tires out apart.
maybe an new idea on rock gards. i was thinking about reinforcing the doors on the inside. and i think everyone would wanta see this or something close to it.
think cheap.

I think you need to do a redneck theamed Mudding Vehicle. Get an old mustang or camaro with a good engine, Jack it up a few feet, make it 4-wheel-drive, and put some super swampers. Take it mudding in alabama or florida. I've thought about doing just that, only i dont know how. Shoot then after you take it mudding, if it's not broken, give it away in a contest.

HAHAHAHAHA
THats FUnny. I say one thing and everyone jumps in like a pack of rabid wolves.
I was talking about building a decent one. I heard about that one on monster garage. But any thing monster garage builds is crap anyway.
Though, it is nice to know that people do pay attention to what i say sometimes, even if it is usually when i say something they totally agree or dissagree with.
