i have a 00' power stroke with a 8" lift and 38" swampers. my problem is that my front wheel bearing keeps on going out. today it got so hot it caught on fire and burnt my break lines.its happend twice before and its getting expensive. my question is is this  common? how can i stop this from happing. is there some sort of heavy duty hub and bearing? anything would be greatly aprecated

Dynatrac, they make kits to get ride of the unit bearing and put in selectable hubs. Shoul dhelp, or at the very least make it so you only have to replace bearings instead of the whole unit.

I resently installed the free spin wheel hub kit from dynatrac on my 03 crewcab superduty so far it has been great even with the snowplow that has destroyed 3 sets of unit bearings in under 50000 miles
