Who gives a #### about the Hemi anyway?

    As I've said before the Hemi as well as dodge sucks! Who cares about 345hp. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TORQUE! The Hemi has 375ft-lbs the new Fords 365. And the new fords tow more. The most of any dodge ram 1500 for towing is 8350. The new Fords F-150 8800. And thats what MSN Autos says but they don't have the #'s for all the F-150's. Ford claims 9500! So who cares about horsepower. Of course dodge won't say "Yeah we have have the most horsepower but ford only is 10ft-lbs behind us and can tow over 1000 more pounds" Also the payload is For dodge ram1500 1510 and F-150 is 2660. So I don't want to here any more about that damn hemi. I hope this brings some sense to mind and makes people laugh everytime they here "That thing got a Hemi". Also tell this to anyone you know that has a new dodge, and afterwards laugh at them and say "ya should of got a FORD" or a Chevy.

And if this didn't change your minds about dodge the I hope it at least got some good fights going. I mean debates.

 P.S. Notice I not once capitalized dodge. that is how much I hate them.  

I'm partial to fords, I drive a 78 f150. all i have to say about the hemi is try and race one and you'll loose if you have a 5.4. the hemi is fast.

I will add fuel to the fire you have sparked.A little hemi history lesson.My first car at the tender age of 15 was a 1973 Toyota Corolla with a crossflow 1600cc hemi! Carb on one side,exhaust on the other with 4 spark plugs on top of the head. It would wind to the moon and I could dust any other 4 banger around except a 1970 something BMW model 2002 that I wound up owning later.My drag race method was to rev it up and dump the clutch.I won some races and used up a lot of clutches and tires. Not recomended for towing or rock crawling.Hemi heads are not exclusive to mopar products.By the way, I don't think Toyota uses hemi heads on anything anymore.

The hemi name will sell lots of trucks just like the 1950's semi truck styling does. I happen to like the Dodge cargo van I drive .At work.On pavement.Oh yeah,I don't pay for the gas.

Just asking.One of my trucks is a FORD ("Full Of Rock Dents") and it will never be" First On Race Day".But the 300 cid 6cyl will idle up hills all day in 4 low first gear.My second point is for the my current needs torque is where its at.

    Well your probably right. I was more or less dising the truck itself. If dodge wanted to put the suspension in it, it could definitly tow alot more. So the real point of this forum is dodge sucks!

absolutly, I agree. My brother works for northwest plumbing. they gave him a 1500 dodge. he drives it all day long and puts about 120,000 miles on it a year. After 300,000 he they have put 3 engines, a new tranny every 30,000, a rear axle, and countless brakes. he now drives a f150 because they have changed the fleet to fords. Most every dodge they have has had all off these problems. dodges suck.   

Hmm, I guess that's why the Nissan Titan beat the F-150 for Pick Up Truck of the year in Faux Wheeler. The Nissan can tow 9,500lbs and beat the Ford by almost a full second in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

  Hey you dumbass who said anything about the Titan? Yep thats right nobody did. I didn't say anything comparing the F-150 and the Titan because I don't know anything about it. I don't talk #### like some people. You are most likely trying to get me to stop talking about the ram 1500's. Notice I said the 1500's because I don't know anything about the 2500's and the 3500's. Yeah, most Dodges suck.  However I sure wouldn't mind having a Cummins! 

And I think that would be a MOFAR(you could spell it Pholks)  Hemis are for highways, real trucks(Fords) love the mud.

Oh, did I mention that the Titan is better off road (JAN 2004 Faux Wheeler) than the F150, can tow 9,500 lbs, has more HP, Torque, better 0-60, 1/4 mile, and 60-0 times than the F150? Yeah that's right, you don't know anything about it, because you are too ignorant to learn about it, or anything else that doesn't start with ford.

You are right, the the F-150 can tow more than the Dodge 1500.  So what? I could care less about the 1500. Talk about it all you want, it won't hurt my feelings any.  Towing capacity isn't the only thing that rates a truck.  How about 0-60, 1/4 mile, and braking 60-0? I wouldn't buy a 1/2 ton for towing anyway.  For the record, I'm a Chevy guy and I think the new Dodges are better than the new Chevys.  The new Titan has some pretty impressive numbers that beat FORD, but that doesn't mean I'm going to run out and buy a new Titan.  I wouldn't  buy any of the 1/2 tons becasue I hate the IFS that I have now, and  I want a real truck with a solid front axle! Dodge 2500 HD!

Looks like the Ford is lagging behind.

hey everybody ITS A FREAKIN TRUCK!!!!! if u want speed go get a mustang if you want a good reliable CHEAP truck get a f150. toyota, dodge dont really matter cause in the end its chevy and ford and ford is on top. oh and which truck hasbeen the longest lasting? a F-150!!!!

Yeah, the Titan beat the F-150 in a short test but abuse them equally over 10 years and see who's still running strong.  Ford may not be the prettiest truck or the fastest truck but they'll keep coming back for more long after all the other trucks give up.  The Nissan might have great numbers now but put 100,000 miles on it and the Ford will be the better truck!

And if you aren't buying a 1/2 ton for towing then why the hell do you need over 300 hp???? 

And if you are looking at a Dodge 2500 it would have to be compared to a Super Duty so what are you doing in this discussion?
