Rear Auxiliary Lamps for Z71

I just bought a 2004 Suburban Z71 and I am looking for a no longer available optional rear auxiliary light kit that would go mounted in the rear circles of the luggage rack.  I saw them as an available option in the 2001 Chevy Suburban brochure but cannot seem to find them.  The GM parts dealer no longer shows them on his parts finder.  I'm sure Chevy OEM'ed from an aftermarket lighting company.

Not only will this add functionality to my new Sub, it will add a distinct character for which I am after.

Hey, back off Skblazer, he might be *** wheeling in a brand new Sub...

I'm not sure what luggage rack mounted lights you are asking about, but there is a company that makes lights that mount to a rear reciever hitch that can be wired for manual operation or hooked up to your reverse lights.

The Z-71 in both the Tahoe and Suburban models have a different style luggage rack than the standard one that comes on the LS and LT trim packages.  At the rear of the rack, there are some circular cut-outs that currently are non-functional.  The original intent of the design were to offer a light kit that would fit in this rack and offer lighting to the rear of the vehicle.  They compliment the back-up lights and are useful when hitching a trailer at night or just general tail-gate type activities.

By the way, thanks for the reply.

Since this is not an off-road specific question, I understand why this might not be the best web site for this question.  However, I've been a 4-WOR subscriber for the last 10 years and have seen some very unusual questions answered along with some very good tips.

I considered this an Auxiliary Lighting question that has off-road intended applications.

Thanks for your reply... RMJ

See if there is an existing wiring harness up there ,if not any number if lights would work,in pretty much any wattage you want. just for kicks find a light with a wide spot beam pattern, tractor supply has some weather resistant models for round 20.00,any way ground the lights to metal, run a hot to the wire that turns on the back up light, tap into it put  APPROPRIATE size relay, and wire in.or hook up to a hot wire, and said relay run a switch to inside the trunk area.
